EARL JOHNSON

Earl left High School at 17 to tour with legendary Canadian Blues artist Richard Newell (aka King Biscuit Boy) in the early 70's.

In the mid-70s,Earl formed the band MOXY.  The band would release four albums worldwide. MOXY toured the U.S. extensively with acts such as BLACK SABBATH, SANTANA, BLACKMORES RAINBOW, STYX and others. During the Summer of 1977, on their first tour in the United States, legendary rockers AC/DC opened for MOXY on three Texas Shows 

In 1992, Earl was named "Q 107 Home Grown Guitarist of the Year" while he was with the Rita Chiarelli band.

After a break, Earl resumed MOXY in 2000 due to a demand for live gigs in Texas. They would play the Sweden Rock Festival in 2001, with Dokken, Gary Moore, W.A.S.P, & more on the bill.

In 2015, MOXY celebrated their 40th Anniversary by releasing a new album & DVD titled "40 Years and Still Ridin High". They currently have a pending tour in 2017.

Earl is currently performing with Carlo & Ron in the Cult tribute Sanctuary, Still Sunday & Canada Rocks.
